About the Bar: When the seeds of passion fruit first came to Hawaii from Australia in 1880, they were planted in the East Maui district of Liliko'i and the name stuck. Inside, the fruit is filled with an aromatic mass of juicy pulp and edible seeds. The juice, with its distinct tangy flavor, is a popular ingredient in Hawaiian cuisine, used to make sauce, candy, ice cream, tea, or in cocktails and shave ice.

Shar Tuiasoa of Punky Aloha Studio is the talented local artist behind the cover illustration.

Details: 55% dark milk chocolate. 2.1oz (60g) bar. Contains milk. For maximum flavor, store and eat chocolate at 65-70° F.

Ingredients: cacao, organic cane sugar, organic whole milk powder, passion fruit powder, cocoa butter.

MEET OUR ARTISAN: MANOA CHOCOLATE COMPANY

Manoa Chocolate Company is a premier bean-to-bar chocolate maker located on the beautiful Hawaiian Island of Oʻahu. Since 2010, they have been dedicated to ethically sourcing cacao beans from Hawaii and around the globe, focusing on the highest quality to create delicious chocolate. Inspired by the Hawaiian word "mānoa," meaning solid, vast, and deep, the company emphasizes sustainable practices, nurturing the land from which they harvest cacao, and refining their chocolate-making process to ensure the best flavor and quality.

Committed to building direct relationships with cacao farmers, Manoa Chocolate Company pays fair prices while eliminating intermediaries, ensuring that the farmers are valued for their work. Their philosophy of "Aloha ʻāina," or love of the land, drives their mission to support sustainable agriculture and reforestation in Hawaii. By crafting chocolate entirely in-house, they maintain control over every detail of the chocolate-making process, from roasting to tempering, resulting in a product that reflects their passion for quality and environmental stewardship.
